THE Mosese Volavola coached Yasawa side will leave no stone unturned in their preparations for the Bainimarama Shield defence against Ovalau this weekend.

Yasawa edged Ovalau 13-12 in a hard fought battle during the Vodafone Vanua Cup semi-final last month.

Last week Yasawa defeated Nanukuloa 25-13 to retain the Bainimarama Shield.

Yasawa will miss the services of Uliano Cokanauto and Rusiate Matai who are part of the Fiji 7s extended squad.

Yasawa Rugby Union protocol officer Kaminieli Sadrata thanked BLK, Fiji Water and Naivalu Law for sponsoring the team

. “We have put the win against Nanukuloa behind us and are now fully focused on Ovalau,” Sadrata said.

“We beat them on their home soil so they will be seeking revenge. There are no injury concerns. We have an extended squad so there is a lot of competition for spots in the final squad. There are three players in every position.”

Lautoka will challenge for the Bainimarama Shield next week.
