Workshop focused on enhancing the work of Fijian artesians

PARTICIPANTS at the Annual Entrepreneurship workshop have been reassured that Government is working towards developing frameworks and effective policies that will further enhance the cultural sector.

Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Rosy Akbar made the assurance this morning while officiating at the workshop.

“Budgetary provisions will ensure that artists such as yourselves continue to thrive in the work that you do thus contributing to economic sustainability and empowerment,” Ms Akbar said.

She also stressed that the Ministry through the Department of Heritage will continue to collaborate with statutory bodies such as the Fiji Arts Council to deliver key deliverables that contributes to economic growth.

The workshop which is organised by the Fiji Arts Council in partnership with the Department of Heritage and Arts will focus on improving and enhancing the work of our Fijian artesian and is being held at the Peninsula Hotel in Suva ending on Thursday.
