Warriors team ready for the challenge: Lomani

THE Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors are expecting a tough match against Samoa, Tonga and Japan at the World Rugby Pacific Challenge which begins tomorrow at 5pm at the ANZ Stadium in Laucala Bay, Suva.

Captains of the four teams were present this morning at the Captains photo shoot before they went for their captains run later today.

Warriors team captain Frank Lomani said the team was ready to take on the challenge as defending champions.

“We are expecting a high and fast pace game from the other three teams who will come in fighting.

“They are all bringing in their good players so we are just going to play our game and do our best,” said Lomani

“We are calling out on the public to come out in numbers to support our boys. Most of the boys are from the developing under-20 teams and this tournament is a huge step for them so we would appreciate the support of every Fijian,” he added.

The Fiji Warriors play Tonga A tomorrow afternoon at 5pm at the ANZ stadium in Laucala Bay, Suva.
