WATER Authority of Fiji this morning opened its new customer services centre in the heart of Suva.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Jone Usamate said the authority aimed to uplift its customer services by moving nearer to the larger population.

He said they also aimed to improve customer services experience for commercial, institutional and residential customers.

Team leader Laisa Nacoke said the decision to set up a customer service centre in Suva was because of the demand from members of the public.

“We have been receiving requests from the public to set up a centre in Suva because it’s hard for them to access our current centre because of its current location,” Ms Nacoke said.

“This centre will open on Saturdays too from 8am to 12pm where all services will be available, except for payments due to security reasons.”
