VPL: Ba moves up in points standings; to face Lautoka this Sunday

THE Ba Football side has moved to the top of the Vodafone Premier League standings with 16 points after beating Tavua 2-0 at Garvey Park in Tavua on Sunday.

Both teams rested tied nil-all at half-time.

Avinesh Swamy than netted the first goal of the match in the second half of the game to break the deadlock and put Ba ahead 1-0.

The second goal was scored by Shazeel Ali to seal the win.

Ba leads the standings with 16 points, followed by Lautoka on 13 while Labasa is third with 11 points.

Ba will round of the first round playing Lautoka this Sunday at 3pm at Churchill Park.
