Visama villagers welcome footbridge

VILLAGERS of Visama in Tailevu do not have to risk their safety anymore using coconut trunks as a foot crossing.

This was after the Japanese government handed over their very own footbridge last Thursday.

Visama villagers have had to use coconut trunks as a foot crossing to have access to and from the village.

Japanese Ambassador to Fiji Masahiro Omura said the use of makeshift bridges would now be a thing of the past.
