Canada 7s: Fiji survives cup quarters

FIJI 7s will now play South Africa after surviving a nail biting quarterfinal against New Zealand.

NZ led 21-17 until the dying seconds of the game when Alasio Naduva scored the try to give Fiji a one point lead.

The match was a repeat of last week but this time Fiji will proceed to the cup semi final while New Zealand will play Argentina in the 5th place semi final.

Fiji’s tries came from Naduva, Aminiasi Tuimaba and Josua Vakurunabili.

Last week, Fiji defeated South Africa in the 5th  place semi final 14-12.

South Africa defeated Chile  Wales and USA in Pool play and Argentina in the quarter-finals  It has never been defeated while Fiji has lost a match to Canada during pool play.
