FIJIANS in Vancouver are gearing up for another weekend of sevens rugby at the BC Place Stadium.

The fans were present today to support the national sevens rugby team as it visited a community, which was part of the Canada Sevens.

Chairman of the fan group Petaia Usakilakeba  said the fan base in Vancouver for the Fiji 7s team is different.

“We will go to the end to support our boys and we have proven that culture, religion background and color have nothing to do with our support for our boys,” Mr Usakilakeba said.

He said Vancouver has paved the way leaving aside the issue of racial difference between iTaukei and our fellow Fijians of Indian descent and coming together as one to support the boys.

“To us, we are all Fijians and this is our team, we rise with them and we fall with them and that’s why we go to the end with them,” he said.
