USS Stockdale here to build relationship with Fiji Navy

THE US Naval vessel USS Stockdale has reached our shores today for a four day visit.

During a press conference held on board the vessel,  Commanding Officer CDR Leonard Leos said they were here not only to rest and recuperate but to build relationship with the Fiji Navy.

“This is the ships first time here in Suva will be here for approximately four days and we’re really here to give my crew some time off and some rest and recuperation and also to build relationship with the Fijian Navy who we’re meeting tomorrow for an engagement,” he said.

The ship carries over 300 personnel and Commander Leos acknowledged the hospitality they have received so far.
