Two records broken at national swimming competition

TWO events have had its records broken at the Fiji National School Swimming Competition at the Damodar City Aquatic Centre in Suva.

The first event was broken by Caleb Puamau of Yat Sen Primary School in the 50metre breast stroke.

Puamau swam a time of 35 seconds beating James Kado who swam a time of 39.12 seconds.

The second record was broken by Kalivati Bai of Namaka Public School who swam a time of 2.32.36 minutes in the 6-year-old 100m breastroke.

He broke the old record of 2.40.08 set by Keith Mara in 2011.

The third record was broken by Miley King in the 11-year-old 100m breaststroke event.

King swam a time of 1.27.86 beating the old record of 1.28.38 set by Jade Chan last year.
