Taichi flag bearer

FIJI’s flag bearer to the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas, Taichi Vakasama is hoping to visit his village in Vanauabalavu, Lau, after the games later this month.
Vakasama was born in Koshigaya, Japan. He will take part in swimming.
“I have never been to my island. My father told me that it is a beautiful place. When I will return from the games, I am thinking of going there in December.,” he said.
The 17-year-old Swami Vivekananda College student said he would give his best for the country.
“It will be a tough competition even though this is my second Commonwealth Youth Games. I have been training hard for the past two years.” Vakasama competes in the 100 metres and 200m breaststroke.
