ONE week is left for the Southern Zone primary schools competition and schools which are in the Rewa Primary Schools Sports Association are working hard in preparing their teams.

The southern zone tournament will be held at Navua.

RPSSA president Arvin Narayan said they would be taking three teams to represent Rewa in the competition.

“We will take down teams from the under- 10, U12 and U14.

This tournament is a great platform to scout players to represent the zone,” he said.

“Our focus is to groom the players, not just to become national representatives, but to become good leaders in their families and for Fiji.

We have 16 schools that will be taking part in playing soccer and netball.”

He said defending champion Waidra Muslim Primary School would be the team to beat in soccer and Muaniweni Primary School for netball.
