Radrudru on track

DEFENDING Coca-Cola Games blue ribbon champion Kolinio Radrudru remains the man to beat in this year’s annual competition.

He was in blistering pace yesterday during day one of the Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) inter-house competiton at the school ground.

Radrudru retained his school title yesterday during the competition.

It continues today.

The Nawaca lad from Bua in Vanua Levu showed his opponents during the inter-house competition that he would not easily give up his throne that he accomplished last year in the inter-house, zone competition and the Coca-Cola Games.

Radrudru’s time in the 100 metres was not revealed to the media yesterday.

He has few more weeks to improve his performance and fitness before he defends his title in the Tailevu Zone.

Radrudru clocked 10.64 seconds in the finals of the Blue ribbon event last year however an unofficial time clocked by Fiji Times was around 10.84 seconds.

He has the making of another ‘Bua Bullet’ in the making, Radrudru will try his best to defend his title this year during the Coca-Cola Games at the ANZ Stadium in April.

Last year he dedicated his gold medal to his late mother who passed away when he was 13 years old.
