Rabuka’s breach of bail case dismissed

THE Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has decided to discontinue the proceedings against Social Democratic Party Leader (SODELPA) leader Sitiveni Rabuka.

Mr Rabuka who was charged with one count of breach of his bail appeared before Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa this morning.

He was alleged that on June 2018 in Suva, being an accused person released on bail in the case at Suva Magistrate  Court on May 25, 2018, without reasonable cause, breached a bail condition imposed by the court namely not to approach on interfere with witnesses connected with the case.

Magistrate Boseiwaqa dismissed the case after FICAC made their submissions in court today to discontinue the case.

When questioned after the court case Mr Rabuka said he was delighted that FICAC had finally decided to dismiss the case .
