Fiji is the ideal location for your holiday. The tropical climate, warmth of our people, hospitality and service is of par excellence.

This is the message taken across to Canada by a high-level VIP delegation led by Economy Minister and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum in a Fiji Airways promotional flight that left Nadi for Vancouver last night.

Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer Andre Viljoen said the promotional flight would grab the attention of Canadians and generate interest in our non-direct flights which would commence on November 25.

Mr Viljoen said they had noted a positive response already from the Canadian market with bookings confirmed from November onwards.

“Our promotional flight will ensure these travellers are aware of Fiji Airways direct flight when choosing their next holiday destination and of course a warm reminder to the Fijian diaspora that home is just a flight away,” Mr Viljoen said.

Canada is Fiji Airways 20th destination for direct flights.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum, Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Brent Hill, Mr Viljoen, tourism stakeholders and government officials are also part of the flight to Vancouver.
