A TOTAL of 31 Peace Corps trainees were sworn in as volunteers at the USP ICT Center today.

The Peace Corps Fiji group 95 arrived in the country on August 29 and were billeted at their training villages in the district of Namalata in Tailevu.

The trainees have successfully completed a three-day orientation training and eight weeks pre-service training, and three days PST reflection and training.

As the trainees immersed into the experiences of the different cultural dimension, they will now spend two years of service in schools and communities they have been posted to.

Fiji’s Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou reminded the volunteers that they should utilise their skills and knowledge in their respective area of work.
