New kitchen equipment for Navuavua village women

IN all our economic programs we are reaching out to all women, be it in the maritime, interior or urban areas.

Assistant Minister for Women, Children & Poverty Eradication, Veena Bhatnagar  said during the handing over  of new kitchen equipment to the women of Navuavua Village in Rakiraki, Ra.

Ms  Bhatnagar’s ministry works hard to boost the socioeconomic empowerment of all Fijian women.

“We are working with men and women, youths and children in the familiar environment of their homes, villages and settlement to walk with Government in our vision to bring prosperity, peace and progress,” she said.

The Navuavua women were grateful to receive a new sewing machine, kitchen and cooking equipment, folding tables and chairs, which will assist their income-generating projects.

Also present was Permanent Secretary, Jennifer Poole.
