Nawaka 7s: Fiji Development team wins cup and $10k

The star-studded Fiji Development team proved too strong for Kombat Uluinakau after winning the 36th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s final 33-10.

The Fiji Development side looked dominating from the first whistle, laced with players from the national 7s extended squad, the likes of Terio Tamani, Leo Naikasau and Paula Nayacakalou.

Discipline was also a factor behind Uluinakau’s defeat when two players were flashed the yellow card in both the halves.

The Fiji Development side dominated the final with slick passes and strong attack play.

Their cup final win earned them the $10,000 cash prize.

In the U-21 Cup final, PSM Flames Bro defeated Vuda Blues by 17-0.

Team Pratap Civil & Ashplt narrowly beat Central Babas by 12-10 in the Fellow Fijian cup final.
In the Vibulou Women’s cup final, Seahawks defeated Draki Lillians White by 22-5.
