Man denies charges of sexual servitude and trafficking in children

A 38-YEAR-old man charged with one count of aggravated sexual servitude and three counts of domestic trafficking in children has been further remanded by the High Court in Suva.
Josevata Werelagi appeared before judge Justice Daniel Goundar today.
It is alleged Mr Werelagi, between July 18, 2015, and July 22, 2015, in Suva, by use of threats or force, caused a 15-year-old girl to enter into or remain in sexual servitude, with intent to cause that sexual servitude and shall be employed or used for the purpose of prostitution.
Mr Werelagi pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Justice Goundar has set a trial date from November 25 to November 30.
The case has been adjourned to June 24 for mention.
