THE ‘King of sevens’ Waisale Serevi has highlighted Waisea Nacuqu’s timely inclusion brings needed ammunition to Fiji’s backline heading into the business end of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series this weekend in London.

Serevi said the return of the nippy playmaker will help lighten the load for the players as they look forward to ending the series on a high note.

“I believe with Waisea Nacuqu back in the squad, he will add firepower in the backs,” Serevi said.

“And that will help the magician Jerry Tuwai share the work-load on the field.”

Serevi also said that although it was an ample time to top the series, the team must focus on the tournament itself and the games ahead of them.

“If there is a year USA can win the series, it’s this year.

“On the other hand, Fiji knows that we have the opportunity to win the series as well and there is definitely a lot of pressure on both teams.

“Fiji shouldn’t worry about USA and just focus on the teams they are playing first. They need to play like every game is the last game of their lives and give it everything they’ve got.

“They’re in a tough pool with France, Samoa, and Kenya. All quality teams that will prepare them for the next day.”
