THE Live More Abundantly project was launched by Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete at the Seventh Day Adventist Mission at Suvavou in Lami today.
This project aims to address non-communicable diseases and to guide people living in rural areas on healthy lifestyles.
The project – – facilitated by the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) – is for those living along the Suva-Nausori corridor.
It is the contextualised version of the Complete Health Improvement Project (CHIP).
Dr Waqainabete said the project had been a success in the Pacific after it went on trial.
He said the Seventh Day Adventist Church was known for promoting a healthy lifestyle.
“I was happy to hear about this project because it will help us in our efforts to raise awareness on NCDs and Communicable Diseases,” Dr Waqainabete said.
