WAISEA Nacuqu is out of the HSBC Las Vegas 7s after suffering an during Fiji’s match against Australia.

This was confirmed by national men’s sevens rugby coach, Gareth Baber.

Nacuqu was seen with the national men’s sevens rugby team leaving their changing room, his arm in a sling.

However, Baber did not confirm whether Nacuqu would be replaced by Fiji’s Sevuloni Mocenacagi who is on a four match suspension.

Mocenacagi has missed one match in Sydney and has three pending as part of his disciplinary action for a red card because of a high tackle against a NZ player at that tournament.

The Fiji Times sought clarification from tournament organisers whether Mocenacagi, who was named as the 13th man would need to miss three matches.

We have been informed to wait for national team manager, Jone Niurua to clarify the issue.

If Mocenacagi cannot play, it means Fiji will be left with 11 men to play the rest of the tournament.

Baber was seen earlier having discussions at length with officials outside a room labelled “Citing”. He had also come up to collect the video of Fiji’s team’s performance against Australia.

He looked frustrated.

Fiji earlier lost to Australia 26-15.
