Las Vegas 7s: Fiji up against Wales in second pool match

FIJI increases its chances of qualifying for the quarterfinal of the HSBC Las Vegas 7s if it beats Wales in its second match at 2.23pm Fiji time.
The two sides last met at pool play in Hamilton this year where Fiji won 54-7. That was also the highest score Fiji has ever scored against Wales.
The last time Wales beat Fiji was in Sydney in 2007 where the side beat Fiji 28-15 in pool play.
Since their first encounter in the World Sevens Series in South Africa in 2000, the two sides have met 55 times- Fiji has won 44 times, Wales 44 times and they drew on one occasion.
The highest score Wales had ever recorded in Fiji was 48-0 in the plate final in South Africa in 2011.
In the USA 7s, the two sides have met five times, which was all worn by Fiji. Fiji defeated Scotland 36-12 in its first match while Wales lost to Australia 0-26.
The winner of Pool D will play the second runner up in Pool A which has New Zealand, Samoa, Spain and Canada.
The runner up of Pool D will play the winner of Pool A.
