Las Vegas 7s: Fiji beats Wales, 33-14

THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s side registered it’s second win at the Las Vegas 7s after beating Wales 33-14 this afternoon (Fiji time).

The Gareth Baber-coached side started the match on high with a try from playmaker Mesulame Kunavula to take the lead 5-0.

Wales replied with a converted try to take a 7-5 lead.

However, Jerry Tuwai scored the second try while Waisea Nacuqu got Fiji’s third try which saw Fiji take the at half-time 19-7.

Speedster Alasio Naduva scored his first try at the tournament in the second spell  with Paula Dranisinukula scoring Fiji’s fifth try sealing the win.

The Welsh team also managed a score in the second half  but it was too late.

Fiji will now face Australia at 7:52am tomorrow (Fiji time).
