FIJI is facing injuries setback to its top players after the Canada tournament of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

This will be a major concern as Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber builds his team for the Hong Kong and Singapore 7s next month.

Playmaker Waisea Nacuqu has been ruled out after suffering a season ending injury in Las Vegas after fracturing his collar bone.

Captain Kalione Nasoko sustained a reccurring knee cartilage injury during the pool stages at the Canada 7s in Vancouver 7s last weekend.

It ruled him out of the eliminations while Filimoni Botitu received a couple of knocks to his back in Las Vegas, but he managed to pull through in Vancouver.

Meanwhile, Baber remains optimistic of winning the series with only four tournaments remaining.

Fiji remains in third position after the completion of the Canada 7s on Monday.
