Immigration department concerned with increased resignation

THE increasing number of staff resigning from the Immigration Department is a concern.

This has been highlighted by the department’s acting deputy director, Litia Saumaka, who also said staff turnover was a major challenge they faced.

“There are a lot of vacancies to fill because of the staff turnover, resignations and some have retired. This is one of our main challenges,” Ms Saumaka said.

She said there was an urgent need to fill the vacant posts in order to meet the demand from all their branches across the country.
