HSBC Paris 7s: Fiji wins two at Stade Jean-Bouin

FIJI has won the HSBC Paris 7s beating New Zealand 35-24 in the final.

It was a bonus for the side after it earlier sealed its word series title win after beating USA 33-14 in the semi final.

Captain Paula Dranisnikula thanked supporters, families and friends after the final.

22 year old Napolioni Bolaca who missed the semifinal after being suspended for a yellow card won the player of the final after scoring 20 points during the match.

Bolaca scored two tries and converted all of Fiji’s five tries in the final.

Fiji’s other tries came from Meli Derenalagi¬† Jerry Tuwai and Aminiasi Tuimaba.

Baber branded his players as a special group of people but said they still needed a lot to work on and work for.

Meanwhile, Baber also received the Ul Mark of Excellence award for being the most successful coach this season
