PACIFIC Energy has paid $48,291.60 to Fiji National Rugby League as its first payout of the Fuel-up Promotion to support the Rugby League World Cup 2017.
Pacific Energy gives 1c from every litre of fuel purchased to support the Fiji Bati.
FNRL CEO Timoci Naleba expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Pacific Energy for committing to the Fiji Bati preparations for the World Cup.
Naleba said Pacific Energy was willing to go beyond their current sponsorship and encouraged the people of Fiji to show their support by filling up at their service stations.
“It is not just about money, but the moral support that is needed in getting a national team to perform well in the international stage,” Naleba said.
Pacific Energy Business manager Tapuaki Finauga thanked the people of Fiji who are supporting the Fiji Bati in their preparations for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
“So if you’re buying diesel, unleaded, zoom and kerosene from Pacific Energy you are supporting the Fiji Bati team,” Finauga said.
“Also, for those spending $20 or more of fuel get into the draw to watch the boys in their pool games in Australia.”
