Former government official pleads guilty to corruption offence

A FORMER government official has pleaded guilty to a corruption-related offence. Appearing at the Lautoka Magistrates Court today, Elizabeth Cokomata admitted to a charge of general dishonesty. According to the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption, she was alleged to have falsified a receipt for an accommodation allowance. Cokomata will be sentenced on July 29.
