Fijians urged to make submissions towards budget consultations

MEMBERS of the public are being urged to make more public submissions towards the 2019/2020 Budget Consultations and to make suggestions and ideas that will help government with budgetary allocations.
The Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the call during the 2019/2020 National Budget Consultations that was held at De Vos at the Park in Suva today.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum stressed to the members of the public present at the consultations today that the 2019/2020 budget strategy includes strong sustained investments and economic development over the years and it places Fiji in very opportune space to embrace a new wave of development.
“Inclusivity and empowerment of all Fijians and providing them greater opportunities will continue to be a key focus of the budget,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
He reminded the people to make their submissions before April 26, 2019 to the Ministry of Economy.
