Fijian national recalls terrifying moment

“I THOUGHT I was going to go too.”

These were words uttered by Fijian national Mohammed Ashif as he recalled the terrifying moment a lone gunman stormed the Lynwood mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday killing some of his ‘brothers’ and injuring others.

The Suva-born businessman sought cover in the mosque’s washing area and toilet to escape Friday’s gruesome shooting.
