REMAND prisoner Niko Talemaitoga is back in police custody.
Talemaitoga, who allegedly escaped from Police custody at the Suva courthouse cell block last week, surrendered himself to the Southern Division Taskforce this morning.
Fiji’s Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has acknowledged the support shown towards the efforts by Police to recapture all five escapees since their escape from lawful custody.
“Information given by members of the public had aided the work of the taskforce and is a great show of support towards fighting crime,” Brig-Gen Qiliho said.
The media’s role in disseminating the timely information has also been acknowledged by the head of the Fiji Police Force.
