Yasawa will challenge Nadroga for the Farebrother Trophy this Saturday where the Stallions host the Marlins at 3pm.

Yasawa head coach Iliesa Tanivula said the team had been preparing well knowing they would go up against the giants of Fijian rugby.

“Nadroga is the best opposition to go up against,” said Tanivula.

“They had set the standard of rugby in Fiji and to play them at their home ground is massive and I know the Nadroga fans will be vocal.

“It is a big game for us as a team and the players have been preparing well over the past few weeks as we had successfully defended the Bainimarama Shield from Bua and Macuata.

“We look forward to the match and the best of Fijian rugby.”

Tanivula urged Yasawa fans to come out in numbers and support them at Lawaqa Park.

“I urge our supporters and people of Yasawa to please come and cheer the players on. I know the players’ spirits were lifted when you were vocal in the Vodafone Vanua Cup final against Macuata and I know your support will mean the world to these players on Saturday.

“Come and enjoy the best of Fijian rugby and witness future stars in action.”
