Envoy confirms Chinese vaccines for Fiji

COVID-19 vaccines from China are expected to arrive in the country soon.

Chinese ambassador to Fiji, Qian Bo confirmed this while handing over police equipment to the Fiji Police Force earlier this week in Narere, Nasinu.

“The government and the people of Fiji have won the fierce fight against COVID-19,” said Mr Qian.

“China and Fiji have supported and helped each other in this fight.

“Hopefully very soon, Chinese vaccines will arrive in Fiji to help recover the Fijian economy at an earlier date.”

Mr Qian congratulated Fiji for successfully containing the virus.

“I wish to congratulate the Fijian Government and the people for successfully containing the virus, effectively carrying out the disaster relief work and ensuring the normal operation of the economy and society to the maximum extent.”
