THE rugby clinics that have been conducted for kids this year has taught them more than just the sport itself.

According to former rugby union player Seremaia Bai, the man behind the initiative, the clinics have rewarded the children with self-confidence and the ability to interact more with people.
The rugby clinics are for kids under the age of 14.

“We have been getting feedback from parents that most of the children that come here have gained self-confidence and are much more interactive with people,” said Bai.

He said the clinics’ larger objective was to teach values in rugby and character building.

“There have been changes in the kids as their personality has picked up in terms of values and building self-confidence,” said Bai.

Bai will be travelling down to the Western Division to conduct clinics there next week.
