Canada 7s: Fiji springs back in third pool match against Samoa

THE Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team bounced back from its earlier loss to Canada to defeat Samoa 31-19 and secured a quarter-final spot at the HSBC World Rugby Series  Vancouver 7s tournament.

Nippy playmaker Jerry Tuwai who stood in for the injured Kalione Nasoko led by example and saved his team from the jaws of defeat.

Aminiasi Tuimaba, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Teri Tamani, Jerry Tuwai and  Alosio Naduva scored Fiji’s tries while Samoans managed to score three tries.

The quarter-final will be held tomorrow.
