Canada 7s: Fiji finishes in third place

THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s side has finished in third spot at the Canada 7s in Vancouver.

Fiji defeated USA 24-14 in the Bronze medal match.

Alosio Naduva gave Fiji a good start with the first try of the match.

Fiji led 5-nil.

Kevin Williams replied for USA almost instantly.

The try converted and USA led 7-5.

Terio Tamani scored Fiji’s second to put Fiji in the lead 12-7 at the break.

Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Vilimoni Botitu’s second half tries sealed the win for Fiji.

Fiji had earlier lost to South Africa 31-12 in the Cup semi-final.

In the cup quarter-final, Fiji edged New Zealand 22-21.
