THE Fiji Muslim League has made a call to all its members to hold special prayers at all mosques and centres for all the victims of tragic shooting that claimed the lives of 50 people, three of whom were Fijians.

In a statement National President Hafizud Dean Khan said they were liaising with respective authorities and family members in Christchurch of any Fijian Muslims who may have been victims.

“At the same time we urge people to refrain from spreading invalidated reports of Fijians affected either via social medias or other sources as it only adds stress and suffering for the family members and loved ones,” Mr Khan said.

Mr Khan also conveyed their thoughts and prayers to all the members of the Muslim Community in New Zealand who have lost their loved ones due to this heinous act of violence.
