BEING named one of the top businesses during the country’s premier business awards will spur the team of Ram Sami and Sons (Fiji) Ltd to continue working towards excellence in service.

The company won the Reserve Bank of Fiji sponsored Primary Industry Business Excellence Award at the 2018 Prime Minister’s International Business Award last Saturday.

Director Prashneel Sami Goundar said this wasn’t the first time for the company to win, nor would it be the last.

“This is one of our motivational factors for all our team and this is where we basically see ourselves growing,” he said.

“We want to service the whole of the South Pacific, not only Fiji, and we are looking forward to more awards like this with the hard work of our management and staff.”

Mr Goundar said 2018 had been a good year for the company.

“There have been a lot of developments going on in terms of our sister company Wallson Foods and also with Ram Sami and Sons. We have been increasing our capacity for more than five years and it has been there, as our strategy says we will be increasing about 10 to 15 per cent every year.”

He said the company planned to move into newer ventures such as exporting canned goods overseas.
