THE donation of machines to rural students under the mEducation technology program will hasten the learning process through internet access.

In donating $2500 for mEducation technology to students of Nawailevu Village School in Bua, the foundation executive Ambalika Devi said such assistance was imperative for rural schools.

“The funds allocated for technology rollout will be used to access internet and help students do their research projects,” she said.

Ms Devi reminded parents of their roles in educating their children.

“Parents and teachers play a pivotal role in steering children and youths away from all problems and if everyone work together, the fight against anything becomes easier as we all play our role,” she said.

“Students also need to take responsibility of their own development and not rely solely on anyone else for their own discipline and growth.

“Lack of attention should not be an excuse to resort to other unwanted issues.”

School head Pratosh Kumar said they would soon upgrade the computer lab to cater for the donation.
