LUXOR Hotel and Casino is home to teams competing in the 2018/2019 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series for the next few days.

Owned and operated by MGM Resorts, the 30 storey hotel is located on the North end of the Las Vegas Strip.

Opened 25 years ago, the hotel has the theme of ancient Egypt, the hotel itself shaped like a pyramid with Egyptian decorations in and around the hotel.

The hotel has an artefact exhibition of the Titanic and its atrium is the largest in the world by volume at 820,000 square metres.

Luxor is also known for its Sky Beam, said to be the strongest beam of light in the world at 42.3 billion candelas.

On a clear night, the Sky Beam is visible up to 443km away by an aircraft at cruising altitude.
