A TOTAL of 2155 ballot boxes for the 2018 General Election have been packed as of yesterday.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said this also included the ballot boxes for pre-poll.

“All the ballot boxes for elections have been packed and are going to be dispatched.

The boxes for Labasa, boxes for Lautoka and other places have been delivered,” Mr Saneem said.

He said ballot boxes for the Central Division were packed and expected to be delivered yesterday.

“In comparison to 2014, the last box for Central Division was packed two days before elections, so we are well ahead with time and we will be sending these for verification to start as early as Sunday afternoon before Wednesday,” Mr Saneem added.

He said the ballot boxes for the Western and Northern divisions were delivered, but they were yet to deliver ballot boxes for the Central Division.
