PRIME Minister and FijiFirst party leader Voreqe Bainimarama has rubbished claims that he and the Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum were the only ones responsible for the formulation of the 2013 Constitution.
He said the 2013 Constitution was compiled after recommendations from Fijians and a thorough check was conducted on the contents of previous constitutions.
Mr Bainimarama said the exercise was done to ensure balance and also to take into account the materials that were of great importance.
The FijiFirst leader said the main purpose of the 2013 Constitution was to ensure the protection of all ethnic groups.
He also highlighted that nobody could formulate a constitution which focused only on a particular race as claimed by other political parties.
Mr Bainimarama also said that talks that the A-G was the only person leading the Government was senseless.
He said it was important to note that the country was now moving forward and such talks were not important.
