Bail extension for woman accused of murdering de-facto partner

A 34-YEAR-OLD woman accused of murdering her de-facto partner in March last year had her bail extended by the High in Court in Suva today.
Asena Rakavono appeared before judge Justice Riyaz Hamza charged with one count of murder.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge against her.
It is alleged that between March 2, 2018, and March 3, 2018, at Muanikoso, Nasinu, Ms Rakavono murdered 34-year-old Nathanial Khan by hitting him with a piece of timber.
State lawyer Shirley Tivao told the court that the prosecution would be relying on the caution interview statement of the accused in the case.
The matter now will be called on July 17.
