FOURTEEN players have been selected to represent Fiji in the last leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in London and Paris.

Only 12 players will battle for Fiji in the deciding leg on who will win the series this season.

Waisea Nacuqu makes his return after suffering a shoulder injury and so is star playmaker Jerry Tuwai.

Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Isoa Tabu, Napolioni Ratu and Asaeli Tuivoka continue to be consistent with their performance as they maintain their spots in the squad.

Team captain Paula Dranisinukula banks on the selected players to work with him in the last two tournaments to clinch the series in Paris.

“It will be a challenge, but the boys can’t wait to take on the challenge. They are ready and it won’t be easy,” said Dranisinukula.

“We are ready and the presence of new players in the squad has boosted our performance.”

Team coach Gareth Baber expects a good outing in London.

“We know there’s a lot of expectation around this tournament,” Baber said.

“Pressure is a perception. It’s not real, and it’s up to us to keep our minds on what we have to do to play our way and execute what we want to do as a team on the park.”

Paula Dranisinukula, Ratu Meli Derenalagi, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Josua Vakurinabili, Cakaubalavu, Waisea Nacuqu, Jerry Tuwai, Livai Ikanikoda, Vilimoni Botitu, Aminiasi Tuimaba, Alasio Naduva, Napolioni Ratu, and Asaeli Tuivoka.

Fiji is in second place with 142 points behind USA with 145 points.

The squad departs tomorrow for London.
