Ali appointed as new FRA board chairman

ARIFF Ali is the new chairman of the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) board.

FRA chairman Jonathan Moore confirmed this in a statement today saying Mr Ali replaced Mr Dinesh Patel, Managing Director of R.C. Manubhai and Chairman of the Board from July 2015 to April 2019, who had come to the end of his term.

Mr Ariff Ali who was appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of Fiji on 11 September 2017 is the Chairperson of the Government Tender Board, the Fiji Cane Growers Fund, the Accident Compensation Commission Fiji and the FRA and a board member of the Fiji Sugar Corporation Limited.

Mr Ariff Ali obtained his Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree from the International Islamic University, Malaysia and a Master of Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr Ali on board. Mr Ali’s wealth of experience and insight from his leadership roles will help us continue to achieve an efficient transportation network which is critical for national development,” Mr Moore said.
