THE Fiji Rugby Union yesterday released the Fiji Airways Fiji men’s and women’s teams for the Oceania and Oita 7s tournaments in Suva and Japan this weekend.

The 50 players will be given the opportunity to prove themselves and participate in international tournaments gaining experience and providing depth within the nation’s 7s squads.

With the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Dubai under a month away, this weekend of international competition will provide invaluable tournament exposure for the players to step up and the coaches to work on combinations and systems.

From the Fiji Airways 7s squad Paula Dranisinukula and Amenoni Nasilasila have been ruled out of the selection because of injury.

The teams for Oita 7s have departed for Japan yesterday morning and the Oceania teams have also marched into camp yesterday afternoon.
