BUSINESS giants Hari Punja and Sons Ltd have started a $40million townhouse development in Wailoaloa, Nadi.
Operating under its Wailoaloa Developments Ltd company, the Palmbeach Estate project is expected to result in 30 luxury residential lots within a gated community.
A groundbreaking and prayer ceremony was carried out at the 44-acre property yesterday before work on each lot was carried out.
Hari Punja and Sons Ltd and Wailoaloa Developments Ltd chairman Rohit Punja said there were plans to build 14 three-bedroom houses and 16 two-bedroom properties.
“So far we have only 11 lots remaining with more than half sold already,” he said.
The design of housing units is by Design Hut while the Bali theme will be used on the second phase of the two bedroom houses.
“They will be very modern and contemporary houses. Each of the three-bedroom townhouse will have a private swimming pool and they will be sold with a freehold title.”
He explained that the builders have officially begun work on the first house.
“The contract has been awarded to Jacks Manufacturing Ltd for two of the first townhouses and the expected completion dates is December, 2019. The houses will be built to full cyclone engineering standards using all cyclone grade fixtures and materials.
“All of the 30 townhouses will be in the secured Palmbeach gated complex which will be manned 24 hours per day with foot patrol. They will have the option of using a highly efficient and modern solar system for power supply to complete each unit.”
