LORRY drivers will no longer be able to operate overladen trucks to sugarcane mills from this year.

This was highlighted by the Fiji Cane Lorry Operators Association national secretary, Mukesh Chand, during the 2019/2020 National Budget consultation in Lautoka yesterday.

Mr Chand said they had previously had a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) regarding the tonnage of cane being carted.
