ONLY one voter in Nasukamai, Ra, missed out on pre-polling at the village hall on Monday.

Village chairman Waisea Degei said some villagers travelled from as far as Suva to cast their vote.

“I think one of the main reasons that almost everyone came to vote was because they want to make their vote count,” he said.

“We have been meeting and discussing this day for weeks and everyone was looking forward to vote.

“The hall that we had the elections in 2014 and again this year, we had rebuilt it ourselves after it was destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Winston.”

A total of 195 out of 196 registered voters turned up to vote at Nasukamai yesterday.
